JOB TITLE:              Texturing Overhauler/ Doff Technician       

 

REPORTS TO:         Texturing Engineer Manager

 

PURPOSE:               

To safely and efficiently overhaul a texturing machine, making sure the machine is safe to run, perform preventative maintenance and correct mechanical issues.   To safely and efficiently troubleshoot texturing machine automatic doffing issues.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:        

  1. Machine Overhaul including but not limited to:
    1. Lock Out/ Tag Out Machine
    2. Work with bearings, shafts, gearboxes, belts and chains
    3. Blow down, wipe-up and clean-up motor cabinets
    4. Inspect and correct Aspirator issues
    5. Check Oiling System
    6. Check all guards, shields, safety grates and doors
    7. Clean heaters and cooling tracks
  2. Daily Maintenance of machines

 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to work safely
  2. Ability to read and write and follow directions
  3. Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
  4. Ability to troubleshoot machines
  5. Ability to diagnose and correct breakdowns
  6. Ability to use maintenance tools
  7. Ability to work as a team.
  8. Good communication skills

Texturing machine, mechanical tools, ladders, oil/ grease,

 

AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME:  12-16 Weeks

Ability to stand while performing maintenance on texturing machines

Ability to bend to ground level, sometimes working on equipment below catwalk level

Ability to walk through the plant to get to work station, meeting rooms, break area, and to perform audits.
