Job Title: Cushman Sr Production Manager
Job Summary:
This position is located at the Milliken Cushman Plant located in Williamston, SC and reports to the Plant Manager. The position is responsible for leading production and process departments in achieving productivity, efficiency, cost, quality, delivery, and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with the Location Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Human Resource Manager to understand current and future personnel needs and concerns and to execute hiring, training, and cross-training plans for their particular area of responsibility and regularly review the status of implementing that plan
- Work in conjunction with Human Resources in interviewing applicants who are pursuing employment at the Cushman Plant to employ the most qualified candidates
- Assist the Location Manager in ensuring that all associates that report to them clearly understand the overall plant goals and initiatives along with business goals and initiatives and that the associate understands the role that both they and their processes play in achieving those goals
- Manage Department Production Managers, PPI and VOH:

- Foster a working environment that promotes open communications, teamwork and individual engagement to accomplish goals and objectives
- Ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner to meet delivery objectives
- Ensure all associates are paid correctly
- Ensure that written performance evaluations of supervised associates are completed as required, provide continuous feedback on personnel performance issues, and take immediate action to recognize achievements and address deficiencies or problems
- Ensure the continuous improvement of the safety process at Cushman Plant by ensuring that their associates support and participate in associate driven safety committee activities and that corrective actions assigned to their people by these committees are addressed in a timely manner
- Manage Process Engineers
- Ensure all associates are trained in and fully participate in the safety process
- Ensure appropriate job-related training is given to all associates and provide the necessary resources so that associates are able to perform their job-related duties within the ISO and MPS framework
- Work closely with Human Resources to successfully manage personnel related procedures to include:

- Analysis of current and future hiring needs
- Interviewing and hiring process
- Training and cross-training plans
- Administering disciplinary action
- Establish performance goals and objectives for the production associates that report to them and provide clear measurement and communication to those associates as to how they are performing in relation to those goals and objectives
- Ensure that associates are following established safety and production procedures. Work with the PPI group to ensure all associates reporting to them are following established specifications and procedures related to quality
- Keep Location Manager informed of all situations and decisions that could impact the performance of the location
- Work closely with the Business and Plant product development groups to develop new products and processes that meet or exceed customer expectations at optimum cost
- Manage department variances daily to control costs
- Implement Strategic Objectives to meet departmental short and long-term goals
Qualifications - Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Textile Experience Preferred
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in Production Management
