REPORTS TO:         Texturing Production Manager         

 

PURPOSE:               

To run quilted machines, production first quality products

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:        

  1. Run quilting machines to spec and quality standards
  2. Correct quality concerns
  3. Keep work area clean

 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to work safely
  2. Ability to read and write and follow directions
  3. Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
  4. Ability to understand and follow operator standard work procedures
  5. Ability to run machines efficiently
  6. Ability to troubleshoot and correct machine issues
  7. Good communication skills

 

 

AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME:  2-4 Weeks

  1. Standing:  

Ability to stand while running and inspecting machines

Move freely throughout the texturing department

Use a broom and dust pan.

Ability to lift 35 pounds rolls.

Ability to reach above head to replace/ correct thread.

Ability to use step ladders and stationary ladders

  1. Bending:  

Ability to pick up objects from the floor. Ability to bend to ground and sometimes sit on knees to cut out laps

  1. Walking

Ability to walk through the plant to get to work station, meeting rooms, break area, and to perform audits.

  1. Environment: 

Ability to work around polyester, nylon and acetate

  1. Environment: 

 

Ability to work in a conditioned indoor environment where temperature varies with the weather.

Ability to follow defined break schedule

Ability to work in manufacturing environment around powered material handling vehicles and moving mechanical parts.

  1. Schedule/Attendance: 

Must be able to work 8-10 hour shifts.  Must be able to rotate with assigned shifts per work schedule.  Must be able to regularly and predictably attend per scheduled hours.
