Primary purpose of the position

Reporting to the Business Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Administrator (SCA) is responsible for a variety of Supply Chain activities across Warehouse, Shipping and Planning functions of the department. All activity is to ensure that all customer orders are shipped on time and in full. The position will liaise with Production, Planning, Customer Services, Finance, Quality, Suppliers, and external hauliers on a day-to-day basis.

SAP Planning MRP activity, daily & weekly reviews

Monitoring, maintaining and actively improving inventory accuracy

Ensuring all orders are processed and supplied OTIF

Ensuring all orders are shipped accurately and with all required documentation

Ensuring all goods are transacted accurately and timely within SAP

Effective administration of shipping processes

Ensuring that daily, weekly, period reports are completed and issued to relevant Associate groups

Ensuring process documentation is reviewed and kept updated regularly

Following up delivery blocks and holds to see when orders will be shipped

 

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Run MRP daily and weekly to review exceptions for packaging for finished goods packaging requirements
  • Run MRP process on third party manufactured goods (LVT/WDT/OBEX) and respond to exception messages
  • Ensuring supplier POs are raised and sent through daily, then managing through to booking in by Goods In
  • Ensuring Customer orders are manufactured, shipped on time and in full to meet the required delivery date
  • Ensuring stock orders are shipped to external warehouses for the required dates
  • Proactively driving improvements and efficiencies
  • Ensuring all transactions performed are accurate and timely
  • Proactively monitoring workload and Shipping workflow, both physically and in SAP
  • Correct customs documentation provided to hauliers and or customs agents
  • Auditing orders prior to shipment to check accuracy
  • Following all Departmental and Company Processes
  • Proactively highlighting any potential issues and bottlenecks, escalating where required
  • Informing Department Manager to be aware of any issues that may prevent an order shipping on time
  • Provide shipping lead-times to internal customers when required
  • Ensuring any specific customer requirements are met prior to shipment (e.g. pallet heights, delivery plans)
  • Respond to queries from Customer Service and Planning about shipments and customer collections.
  • Booking in deliveries for external vendors at third party warehouses
  • Promptly investigating any errors/complaints associated with Shipping or Inventory
  • Reviewing SOPs to ensure Planning, Warehouse & Shipping processes are correct and true
  • Providing support for cycle counts and stock takes both on and off site
  • Supporting other areas of Supply Chain during holiday periods
