POSITION OVERVIEW
Milliken & Company, a global leader in innovation across chemicals, healthcare, textiles, and flooring, is seeking a visionary Vice President of Global Sourcing. This executive will spearhead the establishment of a centralized sourcing strategy, ensure best practices and standardization while maintaining a high level of customer focus. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership capabilities, strategic acumen, and a proven track record in global sourcing and procurement. This new position reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive global sourcing strategy across all of Milliken: chemical, healthcare, textile, and flooring.
- Align sourcing objectives with overall company goals, driving cost efficiencies, quality improvements, and innovation.
Centralization and Standardization:
-

- Establish a centralized sourcing function to standardize processes, policies, and procedures.
- Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and sourcing effectiveness.

Vendor Management:
-
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors globally.
- Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure optimal terms and conditions, mitigating risks and enhancing value.
Operational Excellence:
-
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing function.
- Monitor market trends, supply chain risks, and opportunities to proactively adjust sourcing strategies.
Team Leadership:
-
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing global sourcing team.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, empowering team members to achieve their best.
Customer Focus:
-
- Ensure sourcing strategies align with customer needs and expectations.
- Drive initiatives focused on delivering superior customer value and satisfaction.
Financial Management:

- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the sourcing function.
- Ensure financial targets are met, optimizing cost savings and ROI.
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with significant leadership experience
- With at least 5 years in a Global Sourcing role
- Proven experience in developing and implementing sourcing strategies in a complex, multi-divisional organization.
- Strong knowledge of best practices in sourcing and procurement, vendor management, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a global environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
QUALIFICATIONS – PREFFERED
- Experience in the chemicals, healthcare, textiles, or flooring industries is highly desirable.
- Advanced degree (MBA)
