Residential / Commercial Design Manager



This position is located at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, SC and is responsible for supporting our Specialty Interiors Business.  This position reports to the Director of Design and is responsible for directing and developing the residential line.  The role also collaborates closely with our customers, our sales and marketing teams, R&D, and our manufacturing partners.



  • Create, style, and manage residential line
  • Create new fabrics with the ability to mentor others
  • Create saleable colorations for the residential market
  • Collaborate with customers on design briefs, trend boards, and new opportunities
  • Attend customer meetings and shows as needed



  • BA/BS degree in Textile Design Related Field.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in the textile industry
  • In-depth knowledge of fabric formation, primarily woven.  Knowledge of knit constructions a plus.
  • Knowledge of yarn design and development
  • Knowledge of piece dye coloration, yarn dyed coloration and solution dyed coloration
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 10+ years’ experience in the residential marketplace
  • Strategic customer relationships in the residential market space.
