Upstream National Accounts Manager, Plastic Additives



As a member of the sales team, reporting to our Sales Director, the National Accounts Manager is responsible for the growth and development of our customers in the plastics and packaging industry in the United States and Canada.



  • Accomplishment of annual sales objectives within an assigned group of customers
  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with key account contacts at all levels (R&D, Technical Support, Marketing, Sales, Senior Management, Operations, Purchasing, etc.)
  • Drive and manage impactful growth projects with our customers from the development stage through commercialization.  Your industry and product line knowledge combined with your close interaction with our technical experts will allow you to qualify our customers’ needs and offer value-added solutions
  • Responsible for driving the adoption of key new technologies and growth platforms to grow our customers’ and company’s business
  • Monitor competitive activity within accounts and disseminate information to relevant parties.
  • Responsible for identification of potential new target accounts and for the formulation and implementation of account penetration plans
  • Stay up to date on market trends and respond as needed.  Collaboratively exchange important market information with team members



  • BS or master’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other science degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales in experience in B2B sales
  • Ability to sell to any level of an organization’s hierarchy, from entry level sales roles to the CEO     
  • Strong commercial and communication skills
  • Ability to successfully negotiate multi-million-dollar supply contracts
  • Ability to travel upwards of 50% throughout North America
