Payroll Admin
POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is part of the Corporate Payroll team and is based at Milliken’s corporate campus in Spartanburg, SC. The position is responsible for supporting payroll operations to ensure processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with the highest standards of quality. Key responsibilities include the daily administration of garnishments and other payroll-related tasks. This position reports directly to the Payroll Supervisor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Administer daily processing of wage garnishments, including setup, maintenance, and resolution of related inquiries.

Provide administrative support to the Corporate Payroll team to maintain high standards of accuracy and timeliness.

Assist with various payroll functions, including data entry, auditing, and reporting.

Process and audit weekly payroll to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to resolve payroll-related issues.

Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.

Other administrative tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

High school diploma
-
Two or more years of payroll experience
-
Intermediate Excel
-
Two or more years of garnishment experience
Preferred Education and Experience

SAP experience
-
Associate’s degree
The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:

Confidentiality & Discretion: Handling sensitive employee data and court orders requires trustworthiness and sound judgment.

Knowledge of Payroll Laws & Regulations: Familiarity with federal, state, and local garnishment rules (e.g., child support, tax levies, creditor garnishments) is essential.

Knowledge of SAP HCM software

Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret legal documents, calculate deductions, and reconcile discrepancies.

Time Management: Effectively manage recurring payroll schedules and prioritize tasks to meet strict garnishment deadlines and ensure timely processing.

Communication Skills: Clear, professional interaction with HR, legal teams, and external agencies (like courts or attorneys) is often required.

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues with garnishment orders, employee concerns, or system errors.
