POSITION TITLE

Manufacturing Finance Leader

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is based out of RMC and reports to the Director of Plant Controllership with a dotted line to the Manufacturing VP. The Manufacturing Finance Leader will oversee the Plant Finance Leaders at 9 Textile Manufacturing plants to manage activities to achieve low-cost operations. This position provides financial perspective to the operations team to help solve business and manufacturing opportunities. Some travel is required for occasional plant visits away from RMC, as well as traveling as needed to remote locations.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and mentor Plant Finance Leaders to ensure accurate controls are being maintained across all plant locations.  These activities include oversight of:
    • Period-end close, ensuring accurate data and financial reporting
    • Standard practices in operations, budget revisions, product costing, management reporting, and forecasting
    • Internal controls environment while adhering with all governance, risk, and compliance guidelines including account reconciliations
    • Profit, ROIC, and process improvement initiatives to help deliver cost reductions and financial performance
    • Major capital and expense spending in addition to asset management
    • All inventory and material cycle counts and clearings
    • Variance and spending analysis while providing insight to the plant manager and other manufacturing/business partners

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED

  • This position requires candidates to be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for a work visa (e.g.,H-1B, TN, etc).
  • BS Degree – Accounting/Finance, Industrial Engineering or proven Financial Experience
  • Microsoft Office expertise

 The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:

  • 10+ years in management accounting environment; Manufacturing experience a must
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership and responsibility as a highly motivated self-starter
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence others and promote change
  • Ability to work and gain results in a team environment
  • Desire to continuously look for improvement opportunities (efficiency, automation)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
