POSITION TITLE 

Manager, Product Marketing, Flooring

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Flooring Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing product marketing initiatives for the Commercial and Hospitality verticals. This role is instrumental in translating customer needs into compelling product positioning, go-to-market execution, and commercial tools that support growth.

This person must effectively collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Sales to ensure Milliken’s Flooring products are clearly positioned, effectively launched, and supported with the messaging and tools needed to win in complex buying environments. The role sits within the Flooring Strategic Business Unit (SBU) while partnering closely with Marketing Shared Services for campaign execution, creative development, and digital activation.

The position is located at Milliken’s Global Headquarters in Spartanburg, SC.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Market Understanding

  • Lead all marketing activities related to Commercial Flooring products in the Contract and Hospitality businesses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and sales leadership to understand business objectives and translate them into strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Develop marketing strategy and tools that address the unique needs and pain points of our target audience and increase effectiveness of materials used to support the sales process.

 

Go-To-Market Planning & Launch Execution

  • Build product marketing plans for collection launches and oversee execution of collateral, samples, sales training, and promotion.
  • Manage creative partner relationships, determining which resources to deploy both internally and externally.
  • Oversee creative services spend to deliver high-quality product merchandising and deliver product collateral on-time and on-budget.
  • Align with SBU Event Manager on strategy and planning of national trade shows, ensuring event supports product launch needs and connects customers to the product and brand.
  • Deliver product presentations as needed at customer events, trade shows and to internal audiences.

 

Demand Generation and Campaign Support

  • Partner with Marketing Shared Services to develop integrated digital marketing campaigns to build awareness, engage customers, generate leads, and drive sales by targeting specific audiences.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics (e.g., MQLs, engagement) and share insights to improve relevance and effectiveness.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years in product marketing or commercial marketing; B2B or Flooring experience a plus.
  • Proven project management skills managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Results-driven leader with demonstrated experience in strategic go-to-market planning, creative development, demand generation, and sales enablement.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and execute in a matrixed organization.
