POSITION TITLE

IT Product Owner -Finance, Controlling & Procurement

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

Milliken is in search of an IT Product Owner to join our team! This position will be a key player in the IT Department as the Product Owner for Finance, Controlling & Procurement applications.  The role of Product Owner entails working closely with business stakeholders to identify requirements and sequence the work for Digital Roadmap initiatives as well as incremental changes that bring business value.  

 

This role is based out of our corporate headquarters in Spartanburg, SC and offers a Hybrid work schedule. Travel may be occasionally necessary to provide on-site support of projects.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, and Procurement departments to understand their specific needs and translate them into IT solutions.
  • Works in Agile environment to continuously review business needs, refine priorities, outlines milestone and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
  • Responsible for product area research to demonstrate Innovation and “art of the possible”
  • Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including creation of user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog for the product while balancing the requirements of the business stakeholders
  • Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies for implementation of the work – such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retros
  • Evaluate, recommend, and help implement improvements on digital strategy
  • Analyze and report on digital initiatives in partnership with business stakeholders
  • Focus on how digital assets will continue to be optimized to provide business results
  • Training business users on new functionality

 

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED

  • This position requires candidates to be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for a work vis (e.g., H– 1B, TN, etc.).
  • BS degree in IT related field
  • 5+ years of SAP Finance, Controlling and Procurement, preferably SAP S/4 HANA
  • 2+ years of experience in IT Product Management and/or IT Business Analyst
  • Knowledge of finance, controlling and procurement, and/or business processes in manufacturing industry

  • Strong problem-solving skills with proven ability to turn findings into executable plans
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, organize tasks efficiently, and perform the analyst function accurately
