POSITION TITLE 

Hospitality Segment Leader

 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Hospitality Segment Leader for Commercial America Flooring is responsible for developing hospitality strategies and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive revenue growth, ensuring product positioning and channel performance, and implementing strategies to expand market reach. Work closely with the Sales Team, Regional Sales Manager, Segment Managers, Marketing, and Business Leadership to ensure the proper execution of hospitality strategy. Will ensure that the hospitality strategy aligns and complements Milliken FCBU overall vision to leverage synergies in our go-to-market strategy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy Development

  • Develop the 1-, 3- and 5-year hospitality strategy, and ensure it fits into the segment and overall business strategy.

Knowledge Transfer

  • Travel with local Milliken associates in their market to ensure consistent storytelling, strong customer relationships, market strategy development, and a high level of comfort when calling on the hospitality Market.
  • Support the Commercial Sales team in the field on projects, customer contacts, training, trade shows, industry events, and go-to-market resources.
  • Create, maintain, and train the sales team on marketing collateral, ensuring they understand the storytelling and have easy access to the materials.
  • Key contact for Industry Events and networks, including tradeshows, organizations, and publications.
  • Create and formalize a lead creation and follow-up process utilizing current processes and tools. Identify new lead potential systems with an ROI and effective rate on leads provided.
  • Lead all hospitality trade shows and represent hospitality at additional trade shows when required. Identify and provide a return on investment (ROI) on any new trade shows to attend, driving growth and supporting overall segment strategy.
  • Develop and conduct training for the sales team and external customers.
  • Work with the Regional Sales Managers to develop regional, territory, and individual rep strategy, including traditional hospitality associates, dual baggers, and independent agents.

Programs and Tools

  • Support and grow the new online design tool, both internally and externally
  • Work closely with the Project Managers and the Visualizer team to support the team in the field and develop processes.
  • Collaborate with Product Management on product needs, launches, and design requirements for the field.
  • Manage our existing Hospitality Relationships and identify additional potential customers.
  • Maintain, execute, and improve current hospitality-specific programs and products, and develop new programs that align with our segment growth strategy.
  • Maintain all hospitality reporting tools, both internal and external, and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve our hospitality self-service tools (Former Design on Line & Custom Process) and develop innovative solutions to enhance our digital presence, making Milliken easier to do business with.
  • Utilize, improve, and maintain Spark for all tracking, opportunities, reporting, follow-up, documentation, and record-keeping to support Hospitality Strategic initiatives.
  • Work directly with Corporate on company-wide initiatives affecting the hospitality segment, including customer journey mapping, customer tiers and segmentation, and digital growth.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Milliken Services Turnkey to support process improvements, help deliver our message to the market, align with FF&E / Dealer partners, and drive our turnkey strategy internally and externally.
  • Support the Strategic Account and RFP process when applicable.
  • Participate in Divisional leadership meetings when applicable.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4 Years of related experience
  • 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry
  • Proven ability to navigate the competitive marketplace and grow partnerships.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and strategic sales skills.
  • Strong networking ability to cultivate and maintain industry relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive results and meet sales targets.
  • Minimum Travel 50% of the time across North America.
