POSITION TITLE
Credit Analyst
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Credit Analyst will effectively gather, analyze, and assimilate credit information resulting in the formation of a credit recommendation based upon all obtained facts and data.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Information gathering will also include contacting prospective and existing customers’ bank and trade references to verify past and current performance as well as existing credit arrangements
- Contact Presidents, CFOs, Treasurers, and other financial representatives and conducting financial conversations, including financial statements, negotiating various types of credit arrangements and requiring adherence to such arrangements
- Leverage data analytics tools and emerging AI technologies to improve credit analysis, reporting, and process efficiency
- Follow up appropriately and in a timely manner on past due obligations and research various disputes and claims to ensure quick resolution of outstanding invoices
QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED
- 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting or a related major, from an accredited College or University
- Ability to work independently while being a team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced professional business environment and meet daily, weekly, and monthly quality and productivity requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business applications (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Excellent math and financial analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an effective phone presence and strong negotiation abilities; able to communicate firmly, clearly, and concisely while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Must be results-oriented and persistent when faced with obstacles
- Strong work ethic (example: attendance, dependability, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED
- Experience with relevant technologies and embraces opportunities to expand knowledge
- Previous credit and collections experience
- Knowledge of SAP
