POSITION TITLE

Corporate Sourcing Analyst

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The following outlines the specific duties, qualifications, and desired skills for Milliken’s Corporate Sourcing Analyst. Responsibilities include supporting management of assigned indirect and direct spend categories, developing and executing commodity strategies, delivering cost savings initiatives while upholding Milliken policies and procedures. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, ability to enable healthy professional challenges to suppliers and those supported to achieve results best for Milliken, desire to develop category and industry expertise, interest to grow in role and responsibilities over time, skill to originate-lead-close projects, strong desire to learn-connect-develop business/operations acumen and build strong plant and business relationships. Prior Sourcing or Plant Operations experience, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.

 

This position reports to the Senior Sourcing Manager and is located at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, SC.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

          Supports strategic and tactical assigned indirect and direct Floor Covering North American Sourcing objectives.

          Owns strategy, execution, and supplier management of indirect commodities including Fleet Cars and Marketing and direct category of Commission Manufacturing/Tolling for Floor Covering Division North America.

          Supports Live Oak, Maple, Duncan Stewart, Dogwood, Alma, Dalton Samples Warehouse, and Milliken Australia locations as Plant Liaison for all indirect requirements in concert with strategies established by Corporate Sourcing Commodity owners.

          Required on-site visits to manufacturing and operating locations.

          Work closely with members of Corporate and Division Sourcing Team to deliver execution of Sourcing strategies.

          Maintains P2P process, including material price file maintenance and support, in SAP.

          Identify, develop, track, measure, and execute cost savings activities.

          Manage supplier relationships, KPIs, and resolve issues required in the execution of the procure to pay process.

          Lead and maintain Floor Covering Raw Material Risk Process.

          Create, review, execute, and maintain contracts with suppliers when in the best interest to Milliken.

          Establish new suppliers as required to meet business needs.

          Negotiate commercial terms and pricing for procurement contacts and master agreements.

          Execute request for quotation (RFQ) or proposal (RFP) events.

          Analyze available data and markets for emerging trends for the division spend and assigned categories.

          Maintain regular visits to supported plants, key division stakeholders, and suppliers.

          Supports supplier initiatives including diversity, sustainability, and working capital improvement.

 

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED

          Bachelor’s degree minimum, engineering degree preferred.

          Sourcing or Plant Operations experience, minimum 3 years.

          SAP experience, preferred.

          Ariba or Coupa experience, preferred.

          Data analytics experience in SAP, Tableau, or Power BI preferred.

          Microsoft Business experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
