POSITION TITLE

Compensation Analyst

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is part of Milliken’s Corporate Human Resources team and is located in Spartanburg, SC, at the corporate campus. As a member of the Compensation & Analytics Team, you will support Compensation, Operational Reporting and HR Analytics, as well as contribute to key HR initiatives.  For the right candidate, this role will provide a dynamic learning environment and significant career exposure and development within Milliken’s global HR function.  This position will report to the to the Senior HR Director for Compensation and Analytics.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure operational excellence in the administration of all compensation and HR analytics processes
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of Milliken’s compensation information by exercising discretion and independent judgment.
  • Evaluate and process compensation and organizational structure changes using SAP SuccessFactors workflows
  • Support Senior Analytics staff by preparing weekly production labor reports, periodic wage analysis, and other annual activities.
  • Support Senior Compensation staff with ongoing initiatives, including the merit process and the completion of annual salary surveys.
  • Under supervision of Senior Compensation staff, prepare compensation benchmark analyses and recommendation for our greater HR function.

 

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of work experience in auditing, accounting, tax, compensation, or other financial role
  • Highly skilled with Excel, including ability to create charts, pivot tables, and use v-lookups and formulas.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to create presentations that are beyond “basic” in PowerPoint.

 

The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:

  • Highest level of professional maturity and discretion given sensitivity of compensation work
  • Work accuracy and attention to detail while multi-tasking among different projects and programs
  • Ability to prioritize work and solve problems independently while also recognizing when to engage Senior staff.
  • Verbal and written communication skill characterized by professionalism, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Direct experience with non-US cultures either through work/study abroad or culture of origin; foreign language skill not required but definitely a plus.
