Material Development Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position will focus on new material and technology development in Textile Division Asia. You will report to Asia Technical Manager and will support the overall growth initiatives within Textile Division. In this role, you will work with the internal development team and external partners to create new products. Required travel will be approximately 25-50%.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate both internally and externally to identify and develop new materials and technologies.

• Perform test internally and externally to validate ideas and products feasibilities.

• Support development team and manufacturing partners from lab/prototype to full scale.

• Continuously seek improvement opportunities in areas of efficiency, automation, cost reduction, quality, and process improvement.

• Scout new technologies to expand the product portfolio and businesses.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Materials/Polymer Science and Engineering

高分子材料专业，本科及以上学历

• Above 7 years’ work experience of product testing and development

7年以上产品测试和开发工作经验

• Strong interest to new materials and technologies

对新材料新技术有极强的兴趣

• Proactive, self-starter, highly motivated with good organizational and time management skills

主观能动性强，积极解决问题，组织协调和时间管理能力强

• Knowledge and experience of textile materials is a plus

有纺织材料相关开发经验更佳

• Excellent communication skills
