The Superba Operator is responsible for the following:

 

  1. Obtain daily work assignment upon arrival (REF. MQSP-SH1).
  2. Making labels to identify heatset yarns (REF. MQSP-SH2).
  3. Creeling the superbas (REF. MQSP-SH3).
  4. Correctly threading the superbas on the creel end (REF. MQSP-SH4).
  5. Starting up the superba vessel (REF. MQSP-SH5).
  6. Properly threading the superba turnaround zone (REF. MQSP-SH6).
  7. Splicing the yarn at the winder (REF. MQSP-SH7).
  8. Threading winders correctly (REF. MQSP-SH8, MQSP-SH9).
  9. Starting winders (REF. MQSP-SH10, MQSP-SH11).
  10. Repairing mis-doffs on the winders (REF. MQSP-SH12, MQSP-SH13).
  11. Loading superba magazine with tubes (REF. MQSP-SH14).
  12. Keeping hands clean at all times when handling yarn.         
  13. Inspect and tie off doffs (REF. MQSP-SH15).
  14. Manually packing yarn (REF. MQSP-SH16).
  15. Packing non-heatset yarn (REF. MQSP-SH17).
  16. Transport yarn to stretchwrap system (REF. MQSP-SH18).
  17. Operate small stretchwrap system (REF. MQSP-SH19).
  18. Performing lot changes (REF. MQSP-SH20).
  19. Perform Job Risk Assessments (REF. MQSP-SH21).    
  20. Turning in  twisting doff tickets that have been creeled during shift to the lab at the end of the shift. Complete daily operator effectiveness audit (REF. MQSP-SH22
  21. Routinely serve as an assignment leader for the superba room (REF. MQSP- SH20).
  22. Keeping hands clean at all times when handling yarn.
  23. Perform other job duties as requested by your immediate manager. Operator must fill out JSA if necessary.

D.        Authorized Shut Down (Ref. SPI 8 in the SPI manual).

            The operator is authorized to shut down a superba if it is unsafe or producing off quality               (Ref. SPI 1 in the SPI manual), such as wet yarn, stretched yarn, pulled fibers or any                  other unusual occurrence.

Apron, Safety glasses/goggles (blow down), finger knife, hearing protection

G.  Physical Requirements: 

 

Must be able to work in a non climate controlled environment with heat setting devices used in  product manufacturing.  Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
