Plant Electrician and Controls Technician: Monday-Friday

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical and controls infrastructure. Tasks will include circuit installations, conduit placement, electrical supply troubleshooting and various controls related tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in DC as well as AC systems up to 480V. Knowledge of NFPA 70E and NFPA 70B preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will have strong NFPA code experience and must assure all electrical work is completed in such a manner.


  • Install electrical circuits and wiring for lighting, intercom, and other control related systems. Experience with PLC’s, contactors, relays a must.
  • Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for machinery and other building infrastructure and systems.
  • Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
  • Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
  • Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely conducting electrical related PM’s
  • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units


  • Proven experience as an electrician.
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
  • Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent physical condition and flexibility to cover interruptions outside of normal working hours
  • Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
  • Valid license to practice profession (Journeyman)
