POSITION OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Supervisor role supports the overall success of the plant through support of the facilities manager to drive critical KPI’s. As a member of the management team daily activities include response to breakdowns, implementation of PM’s on the facilities equipment and infrastructure systems, and grounds maintenance. This is a direct supervisory role and will have between four and eight direct reports.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tracks time and attendance daily and weekly. Manages vacation schedules
- Manages associate counseling and record retention (PTO, disciplinary, etc.)
- Effectively sorts and manages work orders/PM’s assuring priorities are followed
- Able to comprehend and prepare high level reports on shift function
- Capable of high-level communication via 2-way radio, text, email and phone
- Treats associates and peers with dignity and respect and expects the same from direct reports
- Able to effectively manage project components in the absence of the facilities engineer
- Able to self-direct with the ability to balance priorities
- Capable of executing and/or leading repairs and PMs in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing work quality
- Allocates resources appropriately between repair and PM tasks
- Ensures facility grounds are kept in working order during inclement weather events
- Holds monthly one on one sessions with direct reports acting as a mentor to continued growth. Ensures each team member has a growth goal.
- Attends and contributes to departmental meetings
- Drives maintenance success through established KPI’s and corrective actions
- Takes personal accountabilities for all direct reports and their actions
- Active member in a safety or quality improvement team
- Ensures team members are completing PJHA’s for tasks and all safety related policies are being followed- stops work until safety issues are corrected
- Ensures work orders are completed correctly including time spent and materials used
- Experience with a digital CMMS software suite desired
- Other items as directed by the Facilities Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading, directing, or mentoring maintenance technicians or skilled trades associates.
- Strong working knowledge of preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, repair practices, and maintenance safety procedures.
- Ability to prioritize maintenance activities, assign work, and effectively respond to equipment breakdowns in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical documentation, work orders, and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
- Ability to meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous supervisory or formal leadership experience within an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Experience utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Experience tracking maintenance KPIs, work-order completion, preventive maintenance compliance, and corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or controls systems.
- Experience supporting facility infrastructure and building systems.
- Experience coaching and developing maintenance technicians.
- Technical degree, trade certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent maintenance-related training preferred.

- Steel Toe Safety Shoes
- Hairnet or ballcap
- Cut resistant gloves, chemical gloves, etc. as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity level can be more than 98% for 100% of day.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
The hourly pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00 per hour. Starting pay within the range will be determined based on relevant industrial maintenance experience, technical expertise, supervisory and leadership experience, and overall qualifications.
SHIFT/WORK HOURS
Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.
- 1st Shift: 5:45 AM – 4:30 PM Monday-Thursday with some Friday OT as required
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 2:30 AM Monday-Thursday with some Friday OT as required
- Minimal off shift hours to accomplish monthly training sessions
