POSITION OVERVIEW

The Human Resources Generalist/Business Partner role is located in our OVIK Health manufacturing facility in Salisbury, MA.  OVIK Health is a medical device manufacturing company that specializes in using advanced healthcare technologies to provide advanced wound care to sports medicine, animal health and medical care.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The HRBP is integral to overseeing essential processes such as day-to-day HR Operations, communicating with associates, being an advocate for our associates, benefits administration, compensation, and compliance while supporting impactful HR and operational projects. This role will be vital in shaping a seamless and exceptional associate experience, fostering a workplace where everyone can thrive.

  • Supports the day-to-day HR Operations for OVIK Health’s manufacturing facility in Salisbury, MA
  • Verbal and written bilingual (English/Spanish) communication, and ability to interact effectively to all production, administrative, and management associates
  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Plant Manager, HR Manager and management team on all location matters (strategic and operational)
  • Maintain specific reports and ensure timely completion (turnover, safety, local/regional compensation data)
  • Lead the on-boarding process for new hires and the off-boarding process for voluntary/involuntary terminations
  • Supports the administration of leave of absences, ensuring legal compliance, maintaining accurate records, supporting team members throughout the leave period, and partnering with managers to facilitate smooth transitions during absences
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, coordinating with legal counsel as necessary
  • Coordinates compliance training programs, including Sexual Harassment Prevention and other mandatory workplace training

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant HR generalist or HRBP experience
  • Proven HR professional that is highly motivated, self-driven, and open-minded individual who is capable of accomplishing tasks and projects in a limited supervision environment
  • Knowledge and successful experience with Federal & State (MA) Employment Law & Regulations, HR Operations & Benefits Administration

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous HR manufacturing experience
  • SAP/Success Factors Experience
  • Experience with OSHA Guidelines and Workplace Safety Processes
  • Experience with Audiometric & Drug Testing Guidelines

 

SHIFT/WORK HOURS

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (On call 24/7)

Travel to other locations as needed.
