Milliken Textiles is currently looking for an experienced Production Manager.

As a member of the manufacturing management team, reporting to our Plant Manager, you are responsible for all activities within the three production departments, the weaving, treating & slitting department at the site in Ghent. You are responsible for the follow-up of the daily activities and the current projects and you guide all departments that involves  90 employees, include supervisors and productionleader. You strive for an optimal performance in the field of environment, safety and efficiency in line with our Milliken values.



  • You ensure that the improvement projects are optimally integrated into the production departments.
  • Internally you work constructively with your colleagues from planning, maintenance, quality and process engineering to guarantee an efficient production environment both in terms of daily operations and in the long term. You keep yourself up to date of new technologies, you propose new ideas and you apply the 5S principles in your project work but also on the floor. 
  • You are responsible for the optimization of the production flow between the various departments
  • Your role as a people manager is being part of your production team, who works in 3 shifts from Monday until Friday.  You have a strong presence on the work floor and know what is going on in the different departments. 
  • You ensure a clear understanding of the training needs of the production team  and you play a crucial role in the optimal deployment of the training and education program and. 
  • You have a strong supporting role in execution of safety behaviour of all production associates



  • You have a master’s degree in industrial engineering, chemical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in managing a team in a technical production environment.  Experience in textiles or chemicals is a plus.
  • You work in a hands-on and proactive floor-oriented way with eye for quality, teamwork and process improvement.
  • You have a well-developed technical insight and quickly come to an overall understanding of the situation. You are analytically strong enough to acquire a quick insight into various activities but also into future challenges. 
  • You are very fluent in Dutch and English. 
  • You are motivated by coaching and motivating a respected and diverse team. 
  • You are flexible to maintain contact with the teams of the different shifts.
