POSITION OVERVIEW
The Process Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate handling of raw and finished goods/materials, production and material handling equipment. Duties include packaging and accurately labeling finished goods, following SOP’s to ensure critical process steps are completed timely and in the sequence required, and support other plant functions as directed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurate and timely in completion of tasks
- Safe handling of equipment and materials understanding the hazards and proper utilization of PPE
- Effective communication with team members
- Coordinate daily activities to maintain on-time production schedule
- Work overtime to cover vacancies/vacations and meet Customer requirements, including weekends
- Train new or less experienced team members
- Cross train to other processes and positions for business continuity and flexibility
- Operate liquid filling system to package finished goods/products
- Label materials accurately
- Follow SOP’s to ensure operational safety, product integrity, and maintain equipment functionality
- Inspect and safely operate hoists, forklifts, and other equipment (dock locks, straight truck, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Maintain 5S standards
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain communication within and between shifts
- Attend all plant meetings and complete all trainings on time
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Ability to occasionally push, pull and carry up to 60 pounds
- Ability to wear a respirator as required by the task being performed or chemical safety data sheets.
- Work safely around and appropriately handle hazardous chemicals around plant.
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

- Detail Orientated – Ability to pay attention to all details of a project or task and the ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
- Keyboarding and general computer knowledge/experience preferred
