POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is located at our Portage, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. The Quality and Continuous Improvement Intern will be working with our Quality team on projects such as quality program implementation and continuous improvement projects.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate sampling redundancy based on statistics
  • Organize and support continuous improvement (5S) projects
  • Document procedures
  • Track projects and report on status
  • Support Visual Management Board Creation and updates
  • Collect data and support development of metrics
  • Create production standards and improve efficiency
  • Centerline critical parameters
  • Assist with investigation follow-up, root-cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and tracking

                     

 

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • At least 18 years of age by June 5, 2023.
  • Accepted or enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university as a full-time student for 2023 fall semester. 
    • "Full time" requires each student to carry at least 12 credits per semester. 
    • Documentation of enrollment or acceptance into college must be provided at least 2 weeks prior to beginning work. 
    • Students enrolled in a graduate program will be considered only if more openings are available than the number of interested undergraduate candidates received.
  • Available to work 10 consecutive weeks during the core months of June, July and August.  Time off for students may be granted for critical events and must be approved in advance by the manager of the department.
  • Physically able to perform the essential elements of office and production jobs.

 

The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:

  • Preferably pursing a degree in Natural Sciences or related field.
  • Interest in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), laboratory environment, science, or quality testing.
