POSITION TITLE
IT Specialist
The Information Technology Specialist will primarily be responsible for the maintenance and support of the facility IT systems at the Pendleton and Gerrish Plant in Pendleton, SC. There will be a wide range of opportunities for both personal and technical growth in this position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and support IT servers and network infrastructure within the plant.
- Deliver technical support for PCs, tablets, phones, printers, and peripherals.
- Manage access to IT servers and other resources.
- Monitor and support backup procedures for designated devices.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Data Security team to safeguard IT and OT environments and enable secure remote access.
- Coordinate with third-party service providers as needed.
- Adhere to all plant procedures to ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security standards.
- Communicate effectively with management, staff, and external vendors.
- Support other regional plants through remote assistance and occasional travel.
- Be available/on call to provide after-hours emergency support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED
- Degree (Associate or Bachelor’s) in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency in IT Support, including Windows, Microsoft 365 applications, and basic networking.
- Knowledge of computer and network hardware and troubleshooting techniques.
- Demonstrate customer service skills with users both independently and as a team.
- Proven capacity to independently acquire technical skills and expertise through research, self-directed study, and ongoing professional development.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize projects and service requests.
