This is a non-rotating, straight 8-hour shift position with a normal schedule of M-F, but some weekends may be required.

 

Safety

The operator follows prescribed safety procedures (Ref. SHMS 004l).

 

Responsibilities

 

        The Cardboard Shredder/Waste Handler operator is responsible for the following:

 

               1.  Load cardboard shredder (REF. STDWK-CS1)

               2.  Operating cardboard shredder bale press (REF. STDWK-CS2

               3.  Operating waste baler (REF. STDWK-CS3)

               4.  Perform Job Risk Assessments (REF. STDWK-CS4)

               5.  Keeping hands clean at all times when handling yarn.

               6.  Perform other job duties as requested by your immediate manager. Operator must             

     fill out JSA if necessary.

 

Authorized Shut Down

The cardboard shredder/waste handler is authorized to shut – down or initiate the shutdown of the cardboard shredder or the waste bale press if either is operating unsafely or producing off-quality.(Ref SPI8, SPI1 in the SPI Manual.)   

 

High School Diploma or equivalent education and/or experience
