Sourcing Manager

Function

As a Sourcing Manager your role will be to lead & coordinate procurement projects and solve purchasing issues for raw materials & indirect spend for our Belgian & French plant. You will thoroughly analyze the current portfolio of suppliers and look for creative saving opportunities that reduces the total cost for the company and negotiate the best purchase terms. Expectations are to continuously deliver value to the business via strategic sourcing, cost reduction, supplier performance management, supply market monitoring and risk management. Overtime you will become a team leader where your people-oriented approach will support your team members to become the best version of themselves. This position is based in Ghent, and you will report directly to the Sourcing Director, based in the UK.

Profile

• You have at least a bachelor’s degree in either Chemistry or Textiles Engineering or have professional experience in either one of those businesses.
• You can count on several years of professional experience in purchasing/sourcing, with a preference in a leadership role.
• You have excellent spoken and written skills in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
• Good computer literacy: advanced knowledge in Excel and SAP.
• You are a born negotiator & an excellent communicator.
• Your proactive and problem-solving attitude gets you the results that are demanded.
