POSITION TITLE / LOCATION

PRODUCTION - SPINNING OPERATOR

JOB CLASSIFICATION

The operator has the responsibility to identify any non-conformity in the Quality System as it relates to their area of responsibility and report it to the Production Manager, P.I. Department or ISO Management representative.

 

 

POSITION REPORTS TO: Production Manager

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Operator ensures adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental responsibilities as outlined in company policies and procedures and plant specific policies. Handle non-conforming materials by correcting issues or notifying supervisor.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow all department safety rules
  • Follow all company rules and regulations
  • Standing and walking 10 to 11 hours per shift.
  • Ensures proper stock identification
  • Patrols frame in cycle for runouts, red lights and sliver breaks
  • Removes empty cans, and creels full cans of sliver back in
  • Corrects red lights
  • If the robot stops, inspect for problems. If you cannot correct notify the technician
  • Spinner cleans tangled packages as needed.
  • Spinner services the Robot Starter Pack
  • Spinner services the sleeve storage.
  • If spinner identifies non-conforming material, spinner notifies the technician.
  • Spinner clean open-end area in the prescribed manner.
  • Flag defective position
  • Clean waste from spin box
  • Remove waste from packages

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Read
  • Recognize all colors
  • Air Hose/broom
  • Push pull – lifting

WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION

This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity level can be more than 98% for 100% of day. 

 

SHIFT/WORK HOURS

Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.
