JOB CLASSIFICATION
This role is crucial for overseeing electrical and mechanical maintenance within the Two Rivers production environment, specifically tailored for a Control Equipment Technician (CET). The position demands exceptional skills in identifying and rectifying electrical and mechanical issues. Key responsibilities include a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, with an emphasis on adept troubleshooting abilities, and familiarity with both alternating current (A/C) and direct current (D/C) controls and motors. The CET is responsible for strictly adhering to established safety protocols, ensuring the regular use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This job classification also requires the ability to accurately interpret electrical diagrams, basic math and computer proficiency, and the physical aptitude necessary for handling loads and engaging in frequent movement. It's a role that integrates practical technical work with rigorous compliance to safety and operational guidelines, encapsulating a harmonious blend of hands-on technical skills and disciplined procedural adherence.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Control Equipment Technician (CET) plays a crucial role in the maintenance and operation of electrical systems within industrial settings. This position involves the installation, inspection, and repair of electrical control systems, motors, and other electrical components. The technician is responsible for diagnosing and fixing electrical problems, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely. A key aspect of the role includes understanding and troubleshooting issues with both alternating current (A/C) and direct current (D/C) systems.
The technician must also be skilled in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics to effectively maintain and repair equipment. Adherence to strict safety standards and protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and physical dexterity, making it vital for maintaining the smooth operation of electrical systems in various settings. The Control Equipment Technician (CET) is an integral part of the Two Rivers team, contributing to the overall functionality and safety of the electrical infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES
Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on all plant and facility equipment.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing machine or equipment electrical issues.
- Proficiency in operating a diverse array of shop equipment, including but not limited to welders, cutting torches, pipe threaders, and various types of saws, is highly desirable, though not a mandatory requirement for the position.
- Demonstrating functional knowledge of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as safe work practices.
- Experience in A/C and D/C controls and motors.
- Checking functional operation of all assigned equipment at assigned intervals.
- Changing or adjusting fan belts as needed for the proper operation of fan units.
- Maintaining, changing, and/or repairing pumps and motors as needed.
- Ensuring housekeeping and organization of materials in the assigned work area.
- Working on special projects as requested by management.
- Advising management of any items that need to be ordered to maintain or repair plant equipment.
- Must be capable of climbing and using ladders up to 14’ high.
- Standing and walking 10 to 11 hours per shift.
- Lifting 50 lbs. and over with help
- Must be able to reach into areas on the machine to make repairs and use required hand tools and gauges as
- Push a tool cart with the required tools and supplies to make minor repairs using 10-15lbs push force.
- Use sky jack and forklift.
- Performing all other duties as directed by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read, write, and have good communication skills.
- Basic math and computer skills are required.
- Must be able to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs.
- The job requires frequent climbing of steps/ladders, pushing, pulling, bending, and kneeling.
- Ability to read control diagrams.
- Competency testing may be required.
- Recognize all colors
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced experience or specialized training in electrical maintenance, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience in operating a wide range of shop equipment, including welders, cutting torches, pipe threaders, and various saws.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Higher level of physical fitness to handle demanding tasks.
- Advanced computer skills or familiarity with industry-specific software dependable

WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity level can be more than 98% for 100% of day.
SHIFT/WORK HOURS
Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.
