POSITION OVERVIEW

The weaver is responsible for the efficient operation of a set or group of weave machines.  The skill includes the constant walking and patrolling of the weave machines and repairing various kinds of machine stops that occur up to 12 hours / day. It also includes the creeling of filling packages.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1.   Creel or Tie-In Filling. 
  2.   Procedure for Handling Non-conforming Filling.    
  3.   Inspect Fabric.    
  4.   Inspect Filling When Case Is Allocated to Machine.    
  5.   Procedure for Taking Machines In/Out of Production. 
  6.   Repair Filling Stop.    
  7.   Repair Warp Stop.    
  8.   Flag Machine for Technician.    
  9.   Smash a Breakout.    
  10.   Fill Out Pine Mountain Plant Daily Communication Worksheet.    
  11.   Replace Catch Selvage Spool.    
  12.   Replace Leno Spool.    
  13.   Pulling Barco Reports for Percent Loss Charts.
  14.   Identifying S & Z Problems in Belting Styles.
  15.   Tying Knots.       
  16.   Check Machine Status.  
  17.   Knotless Weaving.                     
  18.   Procedure for Handling Non-Conforming Catch Selvage Bobbins.    
  19.   Procedure for Straps and Springs on Catch Selvage Bobbins.    
  20.   Jacquard Weaver Stock In-Process    
  21.   Repair Warp Stop on Jacquard OPW Styles.    
  22.   Knotless Weaving for Sultex Jacquard.            
  23.   Warp Out Procedure – Barco Declarations        
  24.   Sew Seam Procedure - Barco Declarations       
  25.   No Filling Procedure – Barco Declarations        
  26.   Doff Procedure – Barco Declarations    

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum education level of High School or GED. 
  • Basic written and oral communication skills

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to use SAP

 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to Read and Write
  2. Good Organizational Skills
  3. Ability to Comprehend verbal and written instructions
  4. Computer data entry skills
  5. Ability to walk and patrol weaving machines constantly

 

AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME

Up to 8 weeks

  1. Bending: Ability to bend or stoop while performing job tasks                          10% of day 
  1. Visual Acuity: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties,

                            including reading information from printed sources and
