POSITION TITLE

Quality Assurance Claims Specialist

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is located at the Milliken Live Oak Plant located in LaGrange, Georgia and reports to the Business Quality Director.  The position is responsible for the timely and effective resolution of customer complaints, installation concerns and other technical opportunities while building and strengthening customer relationships, protecting the cost performance of our division, and providing data to eliminate future similar opportunities.

This position is also responsible for the skill level of the field technician staff and managing the network of certified Milliken installers.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communication with QA coordinators to advise on claims, path forward and provide approval for claim resolutions and associated costs.
  • Provide technical expertise to the sales force and customers regarding products, installation, product applications, etc.
  • Execute numerous administrative duties, including SAP transactions and customer interactions and meetings.
  • Provide support to the Quality Director including communication and recommendations to include occasional direct communication with Division Leadership on a case-by-case basis.
  • Work with Milliken Legal on a case-by-case basis regarding written and verbal communication with customers.
  • Addressing job stops at customer sites and other customer emergency situations involving potential liability to the company.
  • Maintain fiscal control of external labor and issue work orders.
  • Training of the field technician staff, and ensuring they are equipped to resolve customer issues.
  • Seek out new procedures and field remediation techniques to aid in resolving future customer issues.
  • Provide customer support in the way of phone advise, on-site leadership or with a 1st Delivery Team on high profile and sensitive jobs.
  • Develop and maintain and grow Milliken’s network of Milliken Certified Installers for Tile, Broadloom, Contract and Hospitality products.
  • Provide necessary support to the Turnkey business, i.e., certification process, technical support, state certifications, etc.

 

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • Minimum 10 years field experience in flooring & installation
  • Competent in install methods for carpet tile, broadloom, and resilient systems
  • Significant travel and work schedules that fit customer needs
  • Communicates effectively with customers and be able to instruct others in install procedures

 

The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:

  • Membership in Professional Flooring or other Industry related associations
  • Established network in the Industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Leadership skills
  • Technical knowledge of installation techniques and floor prep requirements for carpet tile, broadloom, and resilient products
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and use resources creatively
  • Analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Communications skills – verbal, written, and group presentations
  • Ability to be an effective team player 
  • Manage personal schedule to meet the needs and requirements of the job
