JOB DESCRIPTION
MATERIAL HANDLER
The Duncan M. Stewart associate participates in any improvement that is necessary to achieve a world class working environment. Total involvement in our program will enable Duncan M. Stewart to produce the best quality product in a safe and efficient manner.
Basic Job Responsibilities:
The rover serves as production support by following a route that ensures proper flow and removal of waste from the plant. The rover follows all prescribed safety procedures and standard work instructions. Once fully trained and certified the Material Handler will be considered a level 3 material handler. The following are Material Handler responsibilities:
- Put out tubes and bale tube waste
- Collect waste buggies
- Cut beam waste
- Strap returnables
- Bale recyclables
- Move & replace bins
- Move returnables to bottom floor and replace with empty flats
- Disposition all obsolete yarn and sample waste
- Stage Yarn
- Knowledgeable of SAP
- Complete other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Must be in good standing on Safety Engagement, Attendance, and Performance
Must obtain fork lift certification
Must have a valid state issued driver's license
Preferred:
Preference will be given to those who are fork lift certified
Fork Lift experience is preferred
