POSITION OVERVIEW
Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently to transport freight between company locations or designated points in-between. Operate a tractor-trailer combination in urban, suburban, and rural areas and in all types of weather conditions. Perform all safety inspections. Safely maneuver vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading dock areas. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws, rules, and regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle
- Pick-up and safely transport goods to the intended destination
- Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck to prevent damage/injury
- Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries
- Assist in mapping driving routes
- Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
- Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
- Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
- Track and report working hours on trip sheets
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions
- Comply with DOT regulations
- Always make safety a priority
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a CDL Class A’s driver license
- 2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles
- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
- An innate sense of direction
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- High level of composure and good stress management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

- Ascending/Descending: Ability to walk upstairs, climb to top of range
(approx. 16 ft) 6% of day
- Push/Pull/Reach: Ability to open doors, crank handle, twisting and pulling airline from tractor while leaning 4% of day
- Bending: Ability to pick up objects from the floor 2% of day
- Visual Acuity: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties,
including reading information from printed sources and

WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity level can be more than 98% for 100% of day.
SHIFT/WORK HOURS
Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.
