Milliken Johnston Plant Occupational Health Nurse
Location: Johnston, South Carolina
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
Milliken & Company is looking for a caring and dependable Occupational Health Nurse to join our Johnston Plant team. In this role, you will be a trusted resource for associates by helping support everyday health needs, responding to injuries or illnesses, promoting wellness, and partnering with the plant team to help keep our workplace safe and healthy.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will help support the day-to-day health and safety needs of our associates by:

- Providing first aid support and helping coordinate appropriate follow-up care when needed.
- Supporting routine health screenings, return-to-work needs, and occupational health program requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked plant medical clinic.
- Partnering with Human Resources, Safety, medical providers, and plant leadership to support associate well-being.
- Helping with injury follow-up, wellness activities, safety meetings, and associate health education.
- Maintaining accurate clinic records while protecting the confidentiality of associate medical information.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who enjoys caring for people, building trust, and being a helpful resource in a plant environment. The ideal candidate will bring:
- A current unrestricted nursing license in SC & GA.
- RN credentials, with occupational health, manufacturing, emergency, public health, or ambulatory care experience considered a plus.
- A nursing degree from an accredited program, along with a high school diploma or GED.
- The ability to use good judgment, maintain confidentiality, and communicate with care and professionalism.
- A team-focused approach and willingness to partner with Human Resources, Safety, plant leadership, medical providers, and associates.
- An interest in supporting workplace health, wellness, safety, and injury-prevention efforts.
- Comfort using basic computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business systems.

Work Environment
You will spend time in the plant medical clinic as well as throughout the manufacturing environment, connecting with associates and supporting health and safety needs as they arise. The role may include walking through production areas, wearing required personal protective equipment, and responding to routine or urgent medical needs during the workday.
