Position: Wound Care Clinical Specialist – West Coast

Description

The Wound Care Clinical Specialist will provide clinical support, education & strategic direction for the OVIK Health sales team and customer base.  The CS will work with current and potential customers by providing clinical education, product promotion and account support in collaboration with a OVIK Health sales representative.  In addition, the CS provides valuable training and education to the internal sales team as well as collaborating in the development of strategy and success of the region.  This position includes weekly travel in support of customers, training sessions and trade shows.

Responsibilities:

  • Promotion of OVIK Health range of products.
  • Support external customers clinically by providing product or clinical education.
  • Support the internal sales team by providing product training and clinical guidance and education.   
  • Assist the Sales Director in the development and implementation of the strategic direction of the commercial team.
  • Support/lead in the development of strategy and presentation of OVIK Health’s value proposition to identified key targets to include key IDNs, national accounts, GPOs, and distributors.
  • Developing key clinical relationships with identified key opinion leaders.
  • Build relationships with key clinicians to ensure that their current practices with OVIK Health’s products are according to instructions and accepted general practices
  • Assist with investigations related to customer feedback regarding the use of OVIK Health’s products
  • Report territory specific information relative to competitors and distributors in market
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in the development of a regional marketing plan to include product and clinical training
  • Identify new product and commercial opportunities to grow the business
  • Attend trade shows/conferences as necessary
  • Set up and coordinate clinical trials on OVIK Health’s products in conjunction with the product line manager.
  • Travel is estimated to be 1-2 days per week.

Qualifications (minimum):

  • Registered Wound Care Nurse with min 5 years clinical experience at senior level.  WOCN a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Thorough understanding of wound healing principles and practices including the management of VLUs, DFUs, edema, lymphedema, and other wounds.
  • Commercial experience as a clinical specialist, advisor, or sales support role
  • Experience with product value analysis team process and hospital IDN initiatives
  • Ability to develop training and educational materials and deliver training according to practitioner’s experience
  • Experience in undertaking clinical research, medical writing, and publication.
  • Use of a CRM is a plus.
  • Due to the travel requirements, living near a major airport that is favorable to travel to the identified region is necessary.
