As a Systems Engineer you provide customer service by ensuring that all IT support needs are met across the European locations, with a focus on Belgium (Ghent) and France (Roisel). This role involves working closely with the European and global IT teams to implement IT initiatives and drive digital transformation within the organization. The System Engineer will be a key liaison between the business and IT, building strong relationships with stakeholders to align IT services with business objectives. Additionally, you will provide first, second, and third-level IT support, proactively manage projects, and offer training on Microsoft technologies. The ultimate goal of this role is to empower end-users, ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, and contribute to the company's strategic objectives by enhancing the IT infrastructure and driving innovation. This role reports to the European IT Support Manager.
Job responsibilities

Deliver customer service by resolving IT support issues and ensuring timely support.

Provide first, second, and third-level IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.

Manage and participate in IT projects across multiple European locations (Ghent & Roisel).

Provide training and guidance on Microsoft tools like OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint.

Manage mobile device replacements, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

Assist in server and network support to ensure availability and reliability.

Build relationships with key stakeholders and serve as an advocate for IT initiatives.

Proactively suggest and implement improvements to IT processes and systems.

Collaborate within the global IT team across different levels and departments.

Develop and maintain documentation to ensure consistency in IT services.
Qualifications
-
Relevant educational background, including a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Professional experience in IT support, focusing on troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly, along with familiarity in system management tasks such as installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop and laptop systems.

Strong technical skills, demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft technologies, particularly Windows operating systems and Office 365. Your knowledge of Apple Mobile devices allows you to support a diverse user base effectively.

Additionally, you have a basic understanding of networking principles, familiarity with network hardware like routers and switches, and competence in managing IT hardware, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

You are fluent in Dutch, English, and French.
