As a Sales Operations Support you are responsible for administrative and broad commercial support for the Account Managers and customers in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) within the Plastic Additives (PA) business.

 

You act as the link between the Milliken Account Managers and their customers, building strong long-term relationships with both. 

This position is based in our office in Ghent, Belgium.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the key link between customers and the sales team, ensuring clear and timely communication on products, pricing, contracts, data sheets, regulatory topics, and more.
  • Coordinate the entire sampling process—from handling incoming requests to coordinating shipment and delivery to customers.
  • Become a go-to expert in our CRM and sales tools (Spark, SAP, MSBI, IBP, …) and help the sales team use them efficiently.
  • Prepare accurate customer quotations, monitor price changes, and communicate updates to both customers and sales colleagues.
  • Oversee the full contract management process: from initial setup and system follow-up to signing and sending contracts. Maintain a structured contract database for organizational transparency.
  • Think proactively and commercially alongside customers and the sales team, identifying targeted solutions for emerging challenges.
  • Reach out to customers and prospects based on leads generated through our website, events, and conferences.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments (labs, planning, purchasing, production, etc.) to ensure customer needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Support Marketing Communications and Sales in organizing, coordinating, and following up on trade shows and related activities.

 

Your Profile

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Ideally, you bring 3 to 5 years of experience in a commercial or administrative role with a strong focus on customer contact and service.
  • Experience in a technical or chemical environment is a strong asset.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
