Key Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced technical Key Account Manager with a strong background in specialty chemicals and Personal Care/Hair Care. The ideal candidate combines strategic commercial experience with technical credibility and is comfortable engaging with R&D, Innovation, Procurement and Marketing teams at global Personal Care customers. Experience in Hair Care applications and established industry relationships are highly preferred. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop and execute strategic account plans for home, fabric and personal care customers. 

• Build relationships with R&D, Innovation, Product Development, Procurement and Marketing stakeholders. 

• Translate technical customer needs into innovative solutions and commercial opportunities. 

• Drive growth within existing accounts and identify new business opportunities. 

• Support product evaluations, technical discussions and commercialization activities. 

• Collaborate with internal R&D, Marketing, Regulatory and Commercial teams. 

• Lead customer meetings, business reviews and technical presentations. 

• This role requires regular travel (approximately 30-40%) throughout Europe. Travel will primarily involve customer visits, technical and commercial meetings, project support, and participation in industry conferences and trade shows. 

Keys for Success 

• Strong technical understanding of specialty chemicals and Personal Care formulations. 

• Experience or knowledge of Hair Care applications preferred. 

• Ability to establish credibility with technical and commercial stakeholders. 

• Consultative, solution-oriented customer approach. 

• Strong communication and presentation skills are important. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Biochemistry, or related technical discipline. 

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Personal Care, Hair Care, Specialty Chemicals or related industries. 

• Experience in Technical Sales, Business Development, Application Development, Product Management, Technical Service or Account Management. 

• Experience with multinational customers preferred.
