POSITION OVERVIEW

The Plant Finance Leader is responsible for the day-to-day operations of most accounting functions, including inventory, asset accounting and general ledger maintenance. This person oversees calculating, posting, and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. They maintain the integrity of accounting records by ensuring that associates comply with organizational accounting policies and procedures. The Plant Finance Leader will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting through month end close.

The Plant Finance Leader will work closely with the Business Finance Leaders and Plant Leadership. Other customer segments will include the executive team, manufacturing leadership, and department heads.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Timely and accurate financial analysis is completed for business units being supported.
  • Develop plant cost standards, measure actual results against those standards, and provide appropriate feedback to management.
  • Timely and accurate monthly financial reporting.
  • Transactions are accounted for properly and compliant with US GAAP.
  • Processes are strong in the areas of Inventory and Capital.
  • Oversee inventory management and related accounting.
  • Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrued calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing.
  • Preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results.
  • Supports annual audit by providing information and rational to auditors.
  • Work with plant leaders to create and monitor performance against department budgets.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support business unit team activities.
  • Analysis of results to identify opportunities for profitability/cost improvement.

 

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED

  • 3+ years related experience.
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP. Can assist in researching and implementing changing accounting standards.
  • Experience working in ERP systems
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer Literate – Strong Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meeting deadlines

 

The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance combined with applicable experience is acceptable
  • Experience with SAP SAP S/4 and related applications: Integrated Business Planning [IBP], Business Planning & Consolidation [BPC], Analytics Cloud for Reporting [SAC]
