Limestone – Control Equipment Technician (CET) 1st Shift

Primary Duties: 

  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on all plant/facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose machine or equipment electrical and controls issues and repair as needed. 
  • Inspect equipment and perform preventative and predictive maintenance as scheduled.
  • Install new equipment; run conduit and wire.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Follow all established plant and job specific safety rules.
  2. Must be certified in powered industrial vehicles (training provided)
  3. Responsible for general electrical and mechanical maintenance including but not limited to facility electrical, production equipment and fire protections systems.
  4. Responsible for operating various shop equipment including lathes, milling machines, welders, cutting torch, pipe threader, and various saws.
  5. Experience in A/C and D/C controls and motors required.
  6. Maintain, change and/or clean filter media in HVAC equipment.
  7. Check and maintain water treatment chemicals (if assigned).
  8. Maintain, change, and/or repair pumps, fans, and motors as needed.
  9. Maintain housekeeping and organization of materials in the assigned work area.
  10. Advise management of any items that need to be ordered to maintain or repair plant equipment.
  11. Document and communicate work completed through computerized work management system.
  12. Work on special projects and perform all other duties as directed by management.

 

 

 

 

Minimum Job Requirements: 

  • Must have previous electrical maintenance experience, preferably textile related, or applicable degree/certifications in electrical systems, industrial electronics, mechatronics, or similar. 
  • Must be able to read and write and have good communication skills. 
  • Basic math and computer skills are required. 
  • The job requires frequent climbing of steps/ladders, pushing, pulling, bending, and kneeling. 

Follow all Safety Rules and comply with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Policies.  All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be used as required.  Any accident or near miss must be reported immediately.

Normal hours are Monday - Friday, this is a straight first shift position.  Schedule may vary based on plant opportunities.  Weekend work may be required.
