Broadloom Operator (R401)


The Live Oak Plant has open positions in the Broadloom 401 process of our facility.  The broadloom operator is an entry level position that reports to the Broadloom variable supervisor.  The process is responsible for manufacturing broadloom carpet and area rugs.


Positions available in this process are:


  1. Sew-on / Rover
  2. Inspector


Some responsibilities of the positions include:

  • Perform planned maintenance and daily team maintenance
  • Follow planning map and dye schedule
  • Sew straight seams and free of creases from the sew-on table
  • Receive in inventory (SAP)
  • Operate powered industrial vehicle with pole attachment
  • Perform weekly cycle counts.
  • Transport and stage materials – load and unload rolls
  • Perform audits
  • Inspect the carpet for visual defects
  • Perform quality critical measurements and certification
  • Be a team player and communicate on quality and production information including
  • Cross-train on other positions
  • Accurately record and document production paperwork
  • Maintain good housekeeping
