Overview of role:

The primary function of the Field Technician is to work directly with our customers to resolve product concerns, customer claims and carpet deficiencies to ensure our customers are fully satisfied with their purchase.

 

Key responsibilities:

1.     Must be able to visit an installation site and do thorough technical analysis which may include assessment of the Milliken product, the installation work itself, the site conditions, floor prep, etc.

2.     Must be able to perform the necessary corrective actions on site to properly remediate the carpet. This may include trimming edges, blending with dye, making shear adjustments, massaging tile installations, seam blending or dyeing, etc.

3.     Will need to be able to conduct 1st Delivery visits, to be at installation sites for technical guidance for installers.

4.     Must have understanding of our product offering and expectation levels.

5.     Must be willing to travel continuously, and to make your own travel arrangements.

6.     Must be willing to work hours & schedule based on customer’s needs, including nights and weekends.

 

Requirements:

1.  Must be technically & physically  capable of performing remediation activities based on practical field experience.

2.  Must have basic computer skills.

3.  Need to have broad product knowledge.

4.  Good written and verbal communication skills.

5.  Must operate with full integrity, the highest ethics and total professionalism at all times.

6.  Must be educated on applicable Milliken Policy.
