JOB TITLE:             Marc Clerk


REPORTS TO:         Plant Controller/ Finance Leader


PURPOSE:    Associate is responsible for ordering all dyes and chemicals for all departments within the plat. They are to maintain dye inventory, receive dyes and chemicals according to written instructions, and load new formulas into the MARC system. They will load manual adds for reworks in MARC system as well. It’s the associate’s duty to label all incoming dyes and chemicals to reflect conformance status with OSHA Regulations as well as with the GHS communication program. The associate will purge old color files and file active dyeing folders by color. They are also responsible for checking the MARC report and tracking the actual dye and chemical consumption verse forecast.



  • Participates in Enterprise Safety Program and follows all safety rules of the plant/company.
  • Orders all dyes and chemicals
  • Maintains dyes and chemical inventories
  • Maintains Dye Formulas
  • Works within MARC system & SAP
  • Report & Track chemical and dye consumption verses forecasted use.



  • Able to work with Computer Systems & Microsoft Office programs

  • Can use hand truck/PIVs required for job.




  • Minimum 2-year work experience
  • Good Math Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) & Outlook
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system





  1. Standing:             Ability to stand while receiving goods:                                                         20% of day
  2. Sitting:                  Ability to sit down or stay seated at computer terminal:                               70% of day
  3. Walking:              Ability to move throughout the department:                                                  15% of day

  1. Climbing:             Ability to use stepstool when necessary, climb stairs                                    10% of day                              to get to 2nd and 3rd floors to check inventory                                                        
  2. Push/Pull/Reach: Ability to push/pull cabinet drawers                                                              5% of day
  3. Bending:              Ability to pick up objects from the floor, etc                                                 5% of day
  4. Visual Acuity:     Ability to read documents, computer screens, cut lines                                 100% of day
