For the Plastic Additives Business of the European Chemical Division, Milliken is currently looking for a New Business Development Manager.


As Business Development Manager you are responsible for establishing deep relationships in polyolefin industry. With a key emphasis on developing a deep technical knowledge with the customer, combined with additive and polymer design. You will help set up the strategy, and facilitate the promotion of new polyolefin/additives technologies influenced by market trends, particularly, in packaging and sustainability. This is a global role, positioned in Europe with high visibility to senior management.


Building and maintaining relationships with key accounts at all levels (R&D, Technical Support, Marketing, Senior Management, and Purchasing).  This may include researching and attending conferences, utilizing contacts from various Product Line, Sales, and Business Managers, and using professional networking platforms.
The primary focus will be working with the PP market with secondary focus on the PE market. 
Developing business cases and go-to-market strategies for additive polymer design in PP and PE manufacturing. 
Working closely together with the global organization which include marketing, product development and sales. Work closely with Milliken sales leaders in LATAM, US and Asia with frequently traveling.



  • 10-15 years of professional work experience in business development or sales, preferably in plastics and/or additives industry
  • Master’s degree (chemistry, chemical engineering, material sciences) or equivalent by experience.
  • A high energy leader with experience working with global, cross functional teams
  • A great sense of ownership with persistence and determination
  • Experience in Global key account management with managing contacts on different levels; experience in dealing with executive level at the customer is a plus.
  • Fluent English speaker and preferably professional knowledge of Italian or/and German language
  • Based in Europe. Requires travel up to 50% globally.
