POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a motivated individual with sales experience in sports and or health care to expand our global Sports Medicine market. This role entails lead generation and product education to produce sports sales growth. Cold calling, customer visits (virtual and/or in-person when available) and building relationships are essential in this role. The position will require training on sports taping applications. Candidate must be a hands-on self-starter who is well organized and capable of working on their own with a clear focus of growing market share.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively call on Athletic Trainers and distribution sales representatives to generate new sales opportunities via cold calling, email, LinkedIn and tracking in SalesForce.com.
- Learn taping technique applications.
- Conduct meetings with Athletic Trainers to identify their needs and suggest appropriate products.
- Travel to national accounts to conduct in-services to Athletic Trainers and conduct product in servicing to distribution sales representatives.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
- Support senior sales team on strategies and lead generating efforts.
- Attend regional and national sports medicine and healthcare conferences.
QUALIFICATIONS - Required
- 4 Year College Level Degree
- Previous 3-year experience in sports med or healthcare sales or as an Athletic Trainer, familiar with taping applications, medical product in servicing or related healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills, actively calling on accounts and sales professionals daily.
- Strong presentation/teaching skills
- Must be willing to travel on a weekly basis
- Highly organized and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in basic computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc..
- Experience in Salesforce, Concur, LinkedIn, Social Media Marketing
The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:
- Basic anatomy and sports injury knowledge preferred.
- Strong taping fundamentals with 3 years of taping experience, undergraduate experience applicable is helpful.
- College level athletic career background preferred
- Basic knowledge level of Group Purchasing Organization contracting
- 2-4 weeks travel per month expected
- Unique expertise pertaining to sales, sports, healthcare, teaching or marketing taken into consideration
