This position is located in Spartanburg, SC in the Corporate Information Services Department and reports to the Information Systems Security Manager.  The Cyber Security Analyst position is a hands-on role requiring strong technical, research, and communication skills to securely enable Milliken’s digital transformation strategy.  This position will provide opportunities to work on a variety of cybersecurity related projects in areas such as cloud security, network access controls, incident response, and cyber security awareness



  • Developing strategies for protecting company data in the cloud including third-party management to ensure that cyber security requirements are met during vendor selection.
  • Working with teams inside and outside of IT to identify security requirements and develop secure solutions that enable business strategy.
  • Proactive hunting for threats and declaring incidents when appropriate.
  • Participating with external audits and internal security assessments.  Working with IT technical and development teams to remediate findings.
  • Assisting with the coordination and completion of information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Developing cyber security awareness content and presenting to the organization.
  • Researching, evaluating, and recommending information security related hardware and software.  Developing business cases for security investments.



  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology related field.
  • Basic knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Windows security tools and settings.
  • Relevant certifications (GSEC, Security+, Network+, CISSP, CCNA, CEH, etc.) would be a plus, but not required.
  • Communication and presentation skills
