WARP CREELER #of Positions: 1
DEPT: PREP
SHIFT: 2nd (5pm-3am) 10 Hr. Shift
Job Summary: Primary responsibility is to load the creels with packages of yarn (enough to maintain production runs for 24 hours), pick up the empty tubes, and bad or damaged yarn. Must be able to doff machines and enter information into computer system.
Must Have Job Requirements:
- Must have excellent vision (Vision Check with Nurse is required)
- Must be computer literate and be able to enter data into system.
- Must be able to work 10-hour shifts
- Work be able to work overtime that includes weekends, as necessary due to customer orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Must work safely, report unsafe conditions immediately and attend all required safety training and meetings.
- Responsible for good Housekeeping.
- Lift 50 lbs, climb ladders.
- Attention to detail.
- Load yarn on yarn carts and push loaded carts to the looms..
- Replace empty pirns with full pirns of yarn.
- Responsible for using correct yarn lot numbers.
- Bands empty cardboard cases, and accumulates box separators, and empty pirns.
- Inform the Technician or Supervisor of yarn or machine related problems.
- Will perform any other duties as directed by Supervisor.
