Summary:  The Weft Creeler is responsible for supplying and maintaining weft yarn packages to ensure uninterrupted production in the weft preparation area. This role focuses on organizing yarn, creeling packages accurately, and ensuring proper material flow into downstream weaving or knitting processes. The Weft Creeler plays a key role in minimizing downtime and maintaining consistent yarn quality throughout the production cycle.

  • Load, position, and secure weft yarn packages onto creel racks according to production specifications.
  • Thread yarn ends through guides, tension devices, and delivery systems as required.
  • Replace empty yarn packages quickly to prevent interruptions in production.
  • Verify yarn lot numbers, colors, deniers, and types before use.
  • Inspect yarn packages for visible defects such as contamination, breakage, or poor winding.
  • Report variations or quality issues immediately to the Weft Supervisor.
  • Maintain a consistent and organized supply of weft material to support continuous machine operation.
  • Monitor yarn tension, breakage, and unwinding behavior to prevent downstream defects.
  • Assist operators by anticipating shortages and replenishing materials proactively.
  • Keep creel aisles clean, organized, and free of yarn waste.
  • Ensure creel equipment is functioning properly and report mechanical concerns promptly.
  • Follow proper handling procedures to reduce yarn damage and waste.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, and appropriate footwear.
  • Attend Safety Meetings
