Job Summary:
The Weft Creeler is responsible for preparing and maintaining the weft yarn supply for weft machines to ensure continuous and efficient production. This role involves loading yarn packages onto creels, monitoring yarn quality, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and position weft yarn packages onto creels according to production specifications.
- Thread yarn through guides and tension devices to ensure proper feeding into weaving machines.
- Inspect yarn for defects such as knots, breaks, or contamination before loading.
- Monitor yarn supply during operation and replace empty packages promptly to prevent downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of yarn usage and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor yarn-related issues to minimize machine stoppages.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production needs and issues.
