Summary:

Must work safe and take personal responsibility for your safety; Mix and test size for all sizes and styles; responsible for quality and accuracy of size for each slasher in operation; carry section beams to warping and remove full ones and load creels. 

Job Requirements:

• MUST HAVE FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE
• MUST BE ABLE TO MIX CHEMICALS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Must work safe, attend all required safety meetings and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Secures raw size (liquid in drums or totes; dry in bags).
• Weigh proper amount of size, add in proper sequence and cook for   prescribed time.
• Check batches for % solids using refractometer and proper texture and contamination free condition via visual inspection.
• Plan what to mix when and which kettle to pump into.
• Reviews size and % solids with Slasher Tender.
• Obtain sample size for lab on each mix.
• Assist Warper tender with doffing full section beams and creeling empty section beams.
• Help Slasher Tender lease, doff, load, empty, creel full section beams and unload empties as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties in size cooking, size storage and size staging areas.
• Other miscellaneous duties as specified by Shift Manager.
