Knit Machine Operator

Job Summary: Keep ends drawn in the machine as necessary, keep yarn in creel, maintain records of defects while fabric is being produced and assist fixer, threader or doffer as necessary. Perform duties on all equipment, production and development as assigned.

Must Have Job Requirements: 

• Must have previous Machine Operator experience.
• Must have excellent vision (Vision Check with Nurse is required)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Must work safely, report unsafe conditions immediately and attend all required safety training and meetings.
• Responsible for good Housekeeping.
• Work from Ladders/Heights.
• Will frequently inspect all cloth and machines for running defects and off quality.
• Assist threader or fixer in removing and replacing guide bars and other machinery components as requested.
• Cover breaks for other operators as needed.
• Inform the Technician or Supervisor of yarn or machine related problems.
• Must have the demonstrated ability to thread small yarns.

Will perform any other duties as directed by Supervisor.
